If you are a nature lover you have an appointment at our mountain campsite in the Catalan Pyrenees<\/a>. One of the aspects that differentiates us from other campsites, among others, is our good location. <\/p>

From our campsite you can easily access many different places of interest. One of the places that you can visit and that is most worth visiting is the Pedret bridge and the Llobregat river<\/strong>, a perfect example of how nature and history are intertwined in this environment. <\/p>

The Pedret bridge is a stone bridge that has a rather particular design thanks to its asymmetry. It is composed of three unequal arches, with the central arch being larger and higher<\/strong> than the rest, thus achieving a distinctive and much more photogenic silhouette. <\/p>

The side arches of the Pedret bridge are smaller and adapt perfectly to the rocky terrain on which they are located. The robustness of the bridge and the way in which it is integrated into the landscape is a living testimony to the mastery<\/strong> with which it was built in the past. <\/p>

This structure is much more than a bridge that serves to cross the river, as it is the living example of the rich medieval history of the Berdeg\u00e0 region. <\/p>

The easiest way to get to the Pedret bridge is from Berga<\/strong>. The best way is to take the exit from the centre of Berga passing in front of the Institut Guillem de Bergued\u00e0 and following the signs for Pedret. The most comfortable thing to do is to leave the car in front of the bridge, so you will not have any problem getting there. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Pedret bridge is an impressive work of medieval engineering. This bridge dates from between the 9th and 10th centuries<\/strong>, although it looks somewhat more modern due to the fact that later reforms were carried out during the 12th and 13th centuries<\/strong>. <\/p>

This is one of the most important Romanesque jewels of Bergued\u00e0 and its construction is for logistical reasons, as it was an important communication route that served to connect the Llobregat valley with the region of Northern Catalonia<\/strong>.<\/p>

One of the greatest curiosities of the Pedret bridge is that it does not have clear documentation about its original construction<\/strong>. This has caused many debates about its age, especially due to the renovations that the bridge has.
