The history of the Artigas Gardens dates back to 1905. During this year, Gaud\u00ed travelled to La Pobla de Lillet to build a mountain shelter for coal mine engineers. This refuge was the Catllar\u00e0s chalet<\/strong> and was designed so that the engineers of that area could rest. <\/p>\n

During the time that Gaud\u00ed was in La Pobla de Lillet he stayed in the house of Joan Artigas, a textile industrialist of the time who had a piece of land in the bed of the Llobregat river known as the Fountain of Magnesia. The design of Los Jardines de Artigas was carried out thinking of a smaller-scale project of the aforementioned Park G\u00fcell. At that time, Park G\u00fcell was still being built and Gaud\u00ed brought some of the masons who had worked on it.
