The Pedret bridge is a stone bridge that has a rather particular design thanks to its asymmetry. It is composed of three unequal arches, with the central arch being larger and higher than the rest, thus achieving a distinctive and much more photogenic silhouette.
The side arches of the Pedret bridge are smaller and adapt perfectly to the rocky terrain on which they are located. The robustness of the bridge and the way in which it is integrated into the landscape is a living testimony to the mastery with which it was built in the past.

The best way is to take the exit from the centre of Berga passing in front of the Institut Guillem de Berguedà and following the signs for Pedret. The Pedret bridge is an impressive work of medieval engineering. This bridge dates from between the 9th and 10th centuries, although it looks somewhat more modern due to the fact that later reforms were carried out during the 12th and 13th centuries.
This is one of the most important Romanesque jewels of Berguedà and its construction is for logistical reasons, as it was an important communication route that served to connect the Llobregat valley with the region of Northern Catalonia.
