How to get to the Baells Reservoir

One of the easiest options to get to the Baells Reservoir is from Berga. The tour starts from the center of Berga. From the centre of Berga , head northwest along Passeig de la Pau until you reach Plaça de la Creu. Once there, turn left continuing onto Carrer del Roser and then once again left onto Carrer Comte Oliba.

When you reach Gran Via , turn left to reach the road to Sant Fruitós. Take the first exit on the right that will take you towards the Carretera de Sant Fruitós. From here you will have to follow the signs along several roundabouts until you reach the C-26 and then join the C-16 in the direction of Puigcerdà. Once you reach the C-1411z you just have to follow the signs to the reservoir.

It is really quite well signposted and with a GPS on board you will not have any problems. This route takes approximately 12 minutes, so it is relatively close. There are alternative routes through which you will have to make more turns, but the distance of the route is rewarded with beautiful panoramic views.

Activities in the Baells Reservoir

As we mentioned before, in the Baells Reservoir you can go kayaking, recreational fishing and take a dip in the water if the weather is good. However, these are not the only activities you can carry out, as it is an outdoor place where you can enjoy many different things.

One of the best options is to walk quietly around the place. Bring a good pair of binoculars and take a walk to the viewpoint in the Serrat de la Figuerassa to enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the Baix Berguedà and Bages.

In addition to kayaking, you can also enjoy the water by jumping down slides from a skate while touring the reservoir and with canoes or motor boats. In addition, there are routes of all difficulties and distances so that you can adapt the choice best to the group or the time you have available.
